Reading drawdowns without rewriting the plan midweek

· Weekly comparison is for noticing drift, not for inventing a new thesis every red candle.

In review sessions we often see the same pattern: a sharp midweek move, a flurry of screenshots, and a temptation to redefine risk before the agreed snapshot even lands. The monitor’s job is to keep the ledger boring until the window closes.

When the Sunday file shows a drawdown that breaches a threshold written at onboarding, we treat it as a scheduled question — not an emergency. Did the benchmark fall by a similar amount? Did one coin dominate the damage? Did a deposit or withdrawal distort the percentage?

Those questions fit inside a sixty-minute review. They rarely fit inside a Tuesday chat thread. Clients who keep the ritual report fewer impulsive sleeve changes, even when they still feel the stress of a red week.
